A day of prayer and fasting for the change of our country in a call to God. 08-08-08 in Hebrew it means a new start. All the things God called as reason to destroy the Canaanites are happening in our country, even legal. 2 Cronicles 7:14)
Let us humble before the Lord, and convert from our ways and pray. Then He promises to HEAR from heaven and to FORGIVE us our sins and to HEAL the country.

Like Speedy Conzales

At the dogsschool we had to let our dogs free: 1 Rotweiler, a Frysian Stabij, a white big dog, a Shi Zu and Tirza, the Morky. The first 3 dogs were going together; romping. Then Tirza jumped in to them and the 3 dogs run after her; they all run and run and never could get her!! Amazing how fast she is. She showed them her bum.

Thirsa

It is 10 days ago, that I collected a doggie. I was fond of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, but my son told me, to have a smaller breed. A Morky. However I couldn't find them in Holland, while they were plenty in the USA. Suddenly, when I wasn't looking for a Morky, I saw the advertisement with a photo and fell in love with this doggie. She is a crossbreeding of Maltheser and Yorkshire. Before I had already a name for her: Thirsa. It's a Hebrew name and means agreeable and charming .(Joshua 17,3) Both my sons are crazy with her, while they have their own lovely dogs!
She is 3 months now. next week I will go to the 'dogsschool' and to the puppy-party at the vet.
My timetable totally changed; have to get up 6.30 in the morning and go to bed at 22.00. Have to walk with Thirsa 6x a day at least. But in the early mornings the nature is so beautiful! Thirsa can run so quick for a little doggie; amazing! I love it!

Als Micha (700 v. Chr.) nu in Amsterdam zou preken

De profeet Micha leefde ongeveer 2700 jaar geleden. Hij werd geboren in Moreset tussen Hebron en Gaza. Hij profeteert over kleine steden daar en maakt symbolische woordspelingen met hun na men: Gat - Stad van de tijding, Afra - Stofstad, Safir - Sieraadstad, Saanan - Uithuizen,Beth-Hae sel - Vasteplaats, Marot - Bitterheden, Lakis - Renstad, Moreset - Bruidstad, Akzib - Leugen beek, Maresa - Bezit, Adullam , Heerlijkheid. (zie boek Micha 1:10-16 in de Bijbel)
Als Micha in Amsterdam zou staan preken, zou hij misschien zoiets zeggen als dit:
"In Tuindorp Oostzaan zullen je runderen in het wild lopen; in Landsmeer ligt alle grond braak; Schellingwoude zal geen cent meer waard zijn en in Duivendrecht zal het koeren al gauw verstom men. In de Bijlmermeer valt de ene klap na de andere en van Schiphol zal niets meer uitgaan. Amstelveen is weg gezonken in een diep moeras en in Badhoevedorp staat geen hoeve meer recht. Buiksloot heeft niets eetbaars te bieden en van De Dam is het hek ook af".
Dit voorbeeld geeft mooi weer hoe Micha veroordelend tot de plaatselijke bevolking sprak, vanwege hun daden.

Today, sunday afternoon around five o'clock, a lady brought me a bouquet of flowers!
I asked, why I got them. She told me, there was a Christmas -action done by all the churches of my hometown in the Passage across the road, (in December) and neighbours mentioned my name, so the flowers came to me. I know this couple: at the other side of the elevators-hall , get sweaters sometimes from her, which I don't wear, because of the wrong colour. Hardly speak to them; I don't choose them as my friends. And they have many many connections, so... well, it's amazing: they send me flowers!

He is trustworthy

Isaiah 53:5 “And by His wounds we are healed.”
There was a crack in the retina, the eye specialist said and he had to laser it twice. In 7 weeks I should come back for control. ”Don’t call, when the flashes of lightening are not increasing”! After the day of treatment I was permitted to do anything but heavy sports. And I prayed to the Lord: ”You say in Your word that You are the Lord, Who heals us and I pray for Your blessing and healing of the eye. And I thank You, that You are healing me too.” I took more rest and started more to pray. Also I thanked the Lord for His healing power. Although I didn’t see any change. Then I reminded James 5:14,15. So I went to the elders of the church for prayer and anointing of oil. There was improving during 3 days: no flashes anymore. Afterwards it started again! I asked the Lord what he was teaching me through this all. And He made clear that answering prayer hasn’t to be instantly, but also a process to healing. It’s not switching on the light and see there it is!
I just had to trust Him, like a child trust its father. Look up to Him and don’t rely on appearance. How difficult!
The better I understood Peter’s experience, when walking across the water and seeing the waves, began to sink. It went up and down with my eye.
“The enemy prowls around looking for someone to devour”! Was he frightening me? I directed myself to the Lord. At the day of control the eye-specialist said it was "okay". I hardly could believe it. “Why do I still see the flashes of lightning?” I asked. He answered in 1 sentence and I don’t remember what he said. “Come back in half a year". And I understood, that I might have been healed since a long the beginning, but in the mean time I was occupied with the appearance.
Philippians 4:6 “Don’t be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thankgiving, present your requests to God.” For me this is still excercise.
